Main features

  • Variety developed by the joint improvement program of the University of Córdoba and IFAPA.
  • Not very vigorous trees, compact in size.
  • It is an early maturing variety with high and constant productivity.
  • Fruits of high fat yield and good extractability.
  • Oil with a high content of phenols and high oleic (> 70%).
  • Variety intended for growing in hedges.

Martina

Zorzal de los Arribes

Main features

  • Variety discovered in the Arribesdel Duero region, in the provinces of Salamanca and Zamora.
  • It is a rustic, vigorous variety, resistant to cold and of medium-late maturation.
  • The fruit is elongated, and offers a slight resistance to detachment.
  • It stands out for the high quality, great stability and high content of polyphenols in its oil.

Royeta de Asque

Main features

  • Variety cultivated in Asque, Huesca. All of its trees come from a single tree, which is why it is considered a clone.
  • Produces a stable oil with a high oleic content, with a balanced tasting profile and recommended as a single varietal.
  • The name, Royeta, comes from the color of the ripening fruit.
  • It is cold resistant.
  • Tolerant to Repilo (Spilocaeaoleagina).
  • Tolerates drought and active limestone soils well.
  • The trees are not very vigorous, with open habit and low vegetative density, attractive option for modern high density planting systems.
  • Productive, with stable yields, medium maturation and average rooting capacity per cut.

Alcampelina

Main features

  • Huesca variety widely cultivated in Alcampell and other regions of La Litera, also distributed in Lleida.
  • The tree is low vigor and open.
  • The fruit is small and elongated.
  • Ripening is late.
  • It is only used for oil extraction.
  • Its oil mill performance is medium-low.
  • It is harvested by milking and never by strapping.
  • Low rooting capacity due to staking.

Brava Galega

Main features

  • Galician native variety, recently recovered and officially recognized since 2017.
  • Well adapted to Galician climatic conditions, very different in rainfall and hours of sunlight than traditional olive growing regions.
  • Produces a quality oil with peculiar properties.

Mansa Galega

Main features

  • As in the case of the Brava Gallega variety, it is an indigenous variety of Galicia, recently recovered and officially recognized since 2017.
  • Both genetically and morphologically (leaves, fruit) it differs from the rest of the cultivated varieties in the world.
  • Produces a quality and unique oil from the organoleptic point of view and of its functionality.

  • Argan variety, selected in Essaouira – Morocco, for its great production and the high quality of its oil.
  • Resists wide temperature variations.
  • It has a good development in a wide range of soils.
  • Excellent alternative for dry land, very resistant to drought, although in regions with some rainfall in summer it yields better harvests.

  • Variety of argan, selected by the Segura CEBAS Center for Soil Science and Applied Biology, for its great production and the high quality of its oil.
  • Withstands wide temperature variations.
  • It has a good development on a wide range of soils.
  • Excellent alternative for dry land, very resistant to drought, although in regions with some rainfall in summer it yields better crops.
